NHTM processes personal data relating to clients and customers, and to those who are interested in the services NHTM provides.

NHTM is committed to complying with data protection, privacy, and other legal obligations to data subjects.

This statement sets out the principles applied when processing personal data. This statement describes the types of personal data NHTM may collect about you. This statement also describes what NHTM does with any data collected about you, how it is kept secure, and the legal bases on which your data is processed. This statement also informs you of your rights and how you can contact NHTM.

  1. What personal data is collected from you?

Personal data is any information relating to an identifiable living individual. NHTM only collects the personal data needed to be able to provide you with the services you have asked me to provide or tell you about.

Personal/contact information: this can include your name, contact address, email addresses, telephone numbers, dates of births.

Payment information: your bank, card or other details for payment and billing purposes.

Digital information: IP addresses, and details of your interaction with the NHTM website and social media, should you engage with NHTM through these channels.

Correspondence: information relevant to your specific enquiries.

Other: any other information you choose to provide to NHTM. For example, previous musical experience or other musical activities undertaken.

  1. When does NHTM collect personal data?

NHTM collects information about you when you enter into a contract with NHTM, make enquiries or otherwise contact NHTM about services, visit the website and engage with NHTM on social media.

  1. What is the lawful basis for processing your data?

NHTM may only process personal data where there is a lawful basis to do so.

NHTM may collect and process your personal data when:

  • it is necessary for the performance of contracts with you;

  • it is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests as a business. In these cases, collection and processing may only be done in a way which might reasonably be expected from NHTM’s relationship with you, and which does not impact materially on your fundamental rights, freedom and interests. NHTM will not process your personal data on this basis if NHTM believes your rights override those of NHTM. Instead, NHTM may seek your specific consent, and/or another legal basis;

  • it is necessary for compliance with legal obligations;

  • NHTM has your consent to do so, for example in relation to marketing by electronic means.

  1. How will NHTM use your personal data?

NHTM may process the information collected about you:

·       to perform any contract agreed with you, or to respond to any enquiries you make in this connection before we enter into a contract. The lawful basis for this processing is performance of a contract with you or because you have asked NHTM to take specific steps before entering into a contract in respect of these activities and services;

·       to respond to any other enquiries or complaints. NHTM needs the information you supply to enable responding.

·       to protect NHTM from fraud and other illegal activities. This processing is necessary to legitimate interest in ensuring the proper management of the business and financial risks.

·       to provide you with information by post or email, with your consent, about other products and services offered similar in nature to those you currently receive or have previously asked about. Information processed for this purpose may include your name, address and email address. This processing is necessary for marketing services, which is a legitimate business interest.

•       NHTM will only send marketing information to you if your consent has been given. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please write, email or telephone: see Contact below.

·       to send you communications required by law or which are necessary to inform you about changes to the services provided you, for example, updates to this Privacy Statement, or any information legally required relating to contracts between us. These service messages will not include any promotional content and do not require prior consent when sent by email or text message. This processing is necessary for me to comply with my legal obligations.

·       to administer the website, and send you survey and feedback requests to help improve services. These messages will not include any promotional content and do not require prior consent when sent by email or text message. This processing is necessary for development of NHTM services, which is a legitimate interest of the business. NHTM has a legitimate interest to do so as this helps make products or services more relevant to you. You are free to opt out of receiving these requests at any time by contacting NHTM.

  1. Who does NHTM share your data with?

In some circumstances NHTM may need to share your data with the following:

  • Accountants/auditors

  • Accounting software company

  • Direct debit company

  • Examination boards

NHTM may also share your data with third parties, such as professionals working in partnership with NHTM, to support the efficient running of the business.

If this is necessary, NHTM will provide only the information needed to perform the services required. They will only use the data for the purposes specified. NHTM requires third parties to maintain appropriate security to protect information from unauthorised access or processing.

In some circumstances, NHTM may need to share your personal data with other third parties (including legal or other advisers, regulatory authorities, courts and government agencies) to enable NHTM to enforce legal rights, or where such disclosure may be permitted or required by law.

Unless informed otherwise, your data will not be processed outside the EEA and the United Kingdom. Due to the use of cloud storage, it is possible that your data may be stored outside of the EEA and the United Kingdom. Only GDRP compliant cloud storage and computing will be used. Unless informed of a change, NHTM will only use cloud storage and/or computing provided by the following companies:

·       Alphabet Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043 United States.

·       Dropbox Inc., 333 Brannan Street San Francisco, CA 94107 United States.

How long will NHTM keep your data?

NHTM will only keep personal data for as long as is necessary to provide services, or for as long as reasonably needed to keep the information for the lawful business purposes or to comply with a statutory or other legal requirement.

NHTM will take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data transmitted, store or otherwise process against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration or unauthorised disclosure or access. NHTM computers and mobile devices are password protected.

You may exercise your rights by contacting NHTM using the details in Contact section of this document. NHTM aims to handle any requests within a reasonable period and, in any event, within one calendar month of the original request.

  • Right to information and access

You have the right to be informed about what personal data is collected about you, why, on what lawful basis and what your rights are. This Privacy Statement is the key document used to inform you about this.

You also have a right to request access to the information held about you, and to receive a copy of this information, along with other information which is generally contained in this Privacy Statement.

  • Right to rectification

You have the right to request that inaccurate personal data be rectified, or completed if it is incomplete.

  • Right to erasure and restriction

You have the right to ask NHTM to limit or cease processing or erase information held about you in certain circumstances. When responding to such requests, NHTM will tell you how such restrictions or deletions may affect the ability of NHTM to fulfil contracts with you or otherwise affect your interests.

  • Right to object

You have the right to object to NHTM using your information for direct marketing. You can also ask NHTM to stop using your information, where NHTM is processing it on the basis of legitimate interest. NHTM will do so unless it is believed NHTM has a legitimate overriding justification to continue processing your personal data.

  • Right to withdraw consent
